CSD&M: Capella an innovative solution to solve Systems Engineering issues

Posted on in News

As a provider of innovative modeling technologies to manage systems complexity, Obeo has been involved in each CSD&M edition since 2011. This year, the Obeo team comprised of Christophe Boudjennah, Samuel Rochet and Pierre-Laurent Dugré.

Indeed, CSD&M is dedicated to innovative technologies and practices to design and manage complex industrial systems. It is the perfect place to discuss with experts and practitioners about Systems Engineering methodologies and tooling.

At Obeo, we worked on those problematics with Thales Group. Out of this collaboration was born an innovative and revolution in the Systems Engineering field, named Capella.

Capella is an open source Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) workbench developed by Thales to help engineers formalize the specification of systems and master their architectural design.

Sustainable and adaptable, Capella is a solution that has already been deployed with success, in a wide variety of industrial contexts (aerospace, energy, communication, transportation,...).

It provides methodological guidance, intuitive model editing, and viewing capabilities for Systems, Software and Hardware Architects working on Embedded Systems.

Such as last editions, CSD&M was this year a great occasion to meet with those who matter in the Systems Engineering field. Valuable and constructive exchanges!

Have a look on the pictures taken during the conference (including a few with Obeo clues ;))
