From EclipseCon Europe to SiriusCon

Posted on in News

When an Eclipse Conference is over, we usually fall into a nostalgic mood. Whatever it deals with EclipseCon North America, France, or Europe, each edition leaves us with that blues feeling. (Or better we say ‘sadness’ after having read one of the last Melanie’s Bats blog post.)

Last EclipseCon Europe may have reached a new level… Indeed, it will make a deep impression with a record attendance (619 attendees). So, if someone was still wondering: yes, the Eclipse community is enthusiast and like to meet! To be more precise, there are several Eclipse communities, and at Obeo, we are deeply involved in the modeling one. From Obeo’s point of view, and just as our CTO Cédric Brun said: “Eclipse is way more than just the Eclipse IDE”.

This year, our busy schedule at Ludwigsburg was all about graphical modeling (and we were really busy with 1 workshop, 4 talks, an IoT playground activity, and a booth). And we came back really happy from ECon EU since you were several with positive feedback about Eclipse Sirius, the Open Source graphical modeling technology (learn more about it on Modeling Languages website).

Now that EclipseCon EU is over, the next step for the modeling community is SiriusCon Paris. On November 15th, enjoy Eclipse Sirius users annual event!

Benefit from feedback users including the European Space Agency, Thales, French Energy (EDF), ASML, the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology, IncQuery Labs… And learn from their modeling projects with Sirius!

But hurry up! SiriusCon is free but places are limited: so register now!
