On Tuesday the 13th, Thales and Obeo will sponsor the 7th edition of CSD&M Paris, with a joint booth and several talks to present Capella, the open MBSE solution. As the ‘Complex Systems Design & Management’ (CSD&M) international conference website mentioned ‘Mastering complex engineered systems requires a global integrated understanding both of industrial practices and of sophisticated theoretical tools’. Indeed, CSD&M is the right place for industrials, tools providers and experts to exchange about their Systems Engineering tools and practices. You are an engineer and need help to formalize systems specifications and master architectural design of your project? Capella, an Open Source Model-Based Systems Engineering workbench, is your tool! As partners, Obeo, one of the main graphical modeling technologies experts, and Thales, creator of Capella (and its methodology, Arcadia), provide a comprehensive expertise on this powerful technology. On Tuesday, CSD&M att...

By the end of the month, we will be back at EclipseCon EU which is one of the main events for the Eclipse community. We are excited to present our last technologies’ features such as properties view with Eclipse Sirius 4.1. On that topic, if it you have not already read it, we highly recommend Mélanie’s blog post (as usual, well written with humor). The Eclipse family is part of our. Many of us are committers on several Eclipse projects (among which Sirius, EMF Compare, Acceleo, Ecore Tools…), and if not (yet), they are deeply involved in them. Each year, we like to go to several events where the Open Source and modeling community meet. Of course, we all got in mind the official Eclipse events (i.e. EclipseCon North America, France or Europe). But there are also many others such as recently MoDELS, INCOSE Symposium, and in almost a month, THE international conference on graphical modeling: SiriusCon 2016, at Paris on November 15th. By the way, it’s still time to register. But as th...

Dear Models attendees, Obeo is a proud supporter of the Model Driven Engineering Languages and Systems conference. We know that your Models agenda will be full since this conference is one of the key events in the field of graphical modeling. But we hope to see you there. Right from the beginning on Sunday, meet our expert team at our tutorial. You will learn how to create a domain-specific graphical modeling workbench with Eclipse technologies including Ecore Tools, Eclipse Sirius, Acceleo... Although we will be really pleased to welcome you at our tuto, we also highly recommend Pascal Roques’s one dealing with Capella. Do not also miss Cetic’s presentation during the Second International Workshop on Executable Modeling. There will be some kind of SiriusCon’s spirit at Models! Indeed, you will benefit from our expertise at the Modeling Clinic. It will be the first time that you will get a specific space where you could meet experts of your preferred modeling technologies. Whethe...

On July 18th, Obeo will be at the 26th annual Incose International Symposium, a key date for the Systems Engineering community. Meet there Samuel Rochet and the Thales team at the PolarSys shared booth where you will get the opportunity to discover Capella, the first field-proven, extensible and Open Source Model-Based Engineering workbench. Indeed, Thales and Obeo combine their expertise to provide a wide offer that covers the complete life-cycle for the professional setting-up and deployment of Capella. As usual, Incose will be full of great talks and we highly recommend these ones: - Simplifying (and enriching) SysML to perform functional analysis and model instances on Monday 18th 2:15-2:55 pm at Pentland Auditorium - Transportation Industry Roundtable Part 1: Overcoming complexity: how transportation is tackling systems issues in multi-project, multi-contract deliveries on Monday 18th 3:30-5.30 pm at Tinto room Edinburgh here we go!...
